4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the machine from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Report any damage immediately to your supplier.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Pre-Operation Check: Before each use, inspect the grinding belt and disc for wear, damage, or cracks. Ensure all guards and work rests are securely in place.
  2. Power On: Connect the machine to the power supply and switch it on. Allow the machine to reach full operating speed before beginning any grinding task.
  3. Using the Belt Grinder:
    • Adjust the tilt of the belt arm (0° to 90°) as needed for your workpiece. The 45° tilt support can be used for common angles.
    • Hold the workpiece firmly against the work rest and gently bring it into contact with the moving grinding belt. Apply even, moderate pressure.
    • Move the workpiece across the belt to ensure even material removal and prevent overheating of the workpiece or belt.
  4. Using the Disc Grinder:
    • Hold the workpiece firmly against the work rest.
    • Bring the workpiece into contact with the rotating grinding disc, typically on the side where the disc is moving downwards towards the work rest. This helps prevent the workpiece from being thrown upwards.
    • Apply light, consistent pressure and move the workpiece to avoid concentrating heat in one spot.
  5. Power Off: After completing your task, switch off the machine and wait for all moving parts to come to a complete stop before leaving the work area or performing any adjustments.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your Holzmann DSM 100200B.

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the machine, especially around the motor and grinding areas, to remove dust and debris. Use compressed air or a brush. Ensure the machine is unplugged before cleaning.
