Battery Installation/Check

The remote control comes with a pre-installed CR2032H Lithium Metal battery. To ensure functionality, verify the battery is correctly seated. If replacement is needed, gently open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and insert a new CR2032H battery with the positive (+) side facing up.

Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the remote control is powered off. Locate the ON/OFF switch on the side of the remote and slide it to the "ON" position. A blue LED indicator light will begin to flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  2. On your smartphone or tablet, navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Enable Bluetooth if it is not already active.
  4. Search for available devices. The remote will appear as "AB Shutter3" (or similar).
  5. Select "AB Shutter3" to pair. The blue LED light on the remote will stop flashing and remain solid for a few seconds, then turn off, indicating successful pairing.
  6. Once paired, the device will automatically connect in future uses when the remote is turned on and Bluetooth is active on your phone.

3. Operating Instructions

Taking Photos and Videos

The remote control features two buttons: one for iOS devices (labeled "iOS" or "Camera 360") and one for Android devices (labeled "Android").

  1. Open your device's camera application.
  2. Select your desired mode (Photo or Video).
  3. For iOS devices, press the larger "iOS" button to capture a photo or start/stop video recording.
  4. For Android devices, press the smaller "Android" button to capture a photo or start/stop video recording.
  5. The remote can operate up to 30 feet (10 meters) away from your paired device.

4. Maintenance

Battery Replacement

To replace the battery, locate the small circular cover on the back of the remote. Use a small coin or tool to gently pry open the cover. Remove the old CR2032H battery and insert a new one with the positive (+) side facing up. Close the cover securely.

Cleaning

Wipe the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

5. Troubleshooting

Remote Not Pairing

  • Ensure the remote is turned on and the blue LED is flashing.

  • Forget "AB Shutter3" from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt to pair again.
