- Power Source: Connect the player only to an AC100V (50/60Hz) power supply.

4. Setup
4.1 Connecting to a Television
For the best video and audio quality, connect the player to your TV using an HDMI cable.
- Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT terminal on the rear of the Blu-ray player.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an available HDMI INPUT terminal on your television.
- Select the corresponding HDMI input on your TV.
4.2 Connecting to an Audio System
You can connect the player to an audio receiver or sound system for enhanced sound.
- Optical Digital Audio: Connect an optical digital audio cable from the OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal on the player to an optical digital input on your audio receiver.
- Analog 2ch Audio: Connect RCA audio cables from the ANALOG 2CH AUDIO OUT terminals (L/R) on the player to corresponding analog audio inputs on your audio receiver.
4.3 Power Connection
- Ensure all other connections are made before connecting power.
- Plug the power cord into the AC inlet on the rear of the player.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a wall outlet.
4.4 Network Connection (Optional)
For network features, connect an Ethernet cable.
- Connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN terminal on the player to your router or network hub.
4.5 Remote Control Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Disc Playback
- Press the POWER button on the player or remote control to turn on the unit.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray.
- Place a Blu-ray Disc, DVD, or CD onto the disc tray with the label side facing up.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the disc tray.
- Playback will usually start automatically. If not, select the desired title/track using the navigation buttons and press PLAY.
5.2 USB Playback
The player supports media playback from a USB memory device.
- Insert a USB memory device into the USB terminal on the front of the player.
- Use the remote control to navigate to the USB input source.
- Browse and select your desired media files (e.g., AVCREC disc, AVCHD disc, music CD format files).
- Press PLAY to start playback.
5.3 Upscaling Function
The BDP-3140-W features a 1080p upscaling function for DVD video. When playing a standard DVD, the player will automatically enhance the video resolution to near Full HD (1080p) quality when connected to a compatible TV via HDMI, providing a clearer and more detailed picture.
5.4 Deep Color and xvColor
For a natural and smooth color experience, the player supports 36-bit Deep Color output and "xvColor" (x.v.Color). When connected to a compatible TV, these technologies allow for a wider range of colors and more delicate gradations, resulting in a richer and more lifelike image.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Unit
- Before cleaning, ensure the player is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the player.
- Do not use abrasive cloths, waxes, benzene, thinners, or alcohol, as these can damage the finish.
6.2 Cleaning Discs
- Wipe discs from the center outwards with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use solvents such as benzene, thinner, or commercially available cleaners.
