1. Important Safety Instructions
Always observe basic safety precautions when using this power tool to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and serious personal injury. Read all instructions carefully before operation.
General Power Tool Safety
- Work Area Safety: Keep your work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Electrical Safety: Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
- Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection. Use safety glasses, goggles, or a face shield. Wear hearing protection when operating for extended periods. Dress properly; do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts.
- Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Disconnect the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
Battery Pack Safety
- Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
- Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
- When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
- Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

Installing/Removing Drill Bits
The 3/8" keyless chuck allows for quick and easy bit changes.
- Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise to open the jaws.
- Insert the desired drill bit or driver bit into the chuck, ensuring it is centered.
- Rotate the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws firmly around the bit. Hand-tighten only; do not use tools to tighten the chuck.
- To remove, rotate the chuck counter-clockwise until the bit can be pulled out.
4. Operation
Powering On/Off
- To Turn On: Squeeze the trigger switch. The speed is variable depending on how far the trigger is pressed.
- To Turn Off: Release the trigger switch.
- The built-in LED work light will activate when the trigger is pressed, illuminating your work area.
Adjusting Torque (Clutch Settings)
The drill features an 18+1 position clutch, allowing you to select the appropriate torque for your task. This prevents overdriving screws and damaging materials.
- Rotate the torque adjustment collar (located behind the chuck) to the desired setting.
- Settings 1-18 are for driving screws, with higher numbers indicating greater torque.
- The drill icon setting is for drilling applications, providing maximum torque.

Figure 4.1: The 18+1 clutch settings allow for precise torque control for various tasks like screwing, drilling wood, concrete, and steel.
Selecting Speed
The 2-speed transmission allows you to optimize the drill's performance for different materials and tasks.
- Use the speed selector switch (located on top of the drill) to choose between two speed ranges.
- Speed 1 (Low Speed, 0-400 RPM): Ideal for driving screws and applications requiring higher torque and control.
- Speed 2 (High Speed, 0-1500 RPM): Perfect for drilling into wood, metal, and other materials where faster rotation is needed.

Figure 4.2: The 2-speed transmission allows selection between low speed (0-400 RPM) for driving and high speed (0-1500 RPM) for drilling.
Drilling and Driving Techniques
- For Drilling: Select the drill icon on the torque collar and the appropriate speed. Apply steady, even pressure.
- For Driving Screws: Select a torque setting (1-18) suitable for the screw size and material. Start with a lower setting and increase if needed.
- The maximum torque is 336 in.lbs. (38 N.M.).
- The drill is suitable for wood (up to 3/4") and metal (up to 2/5").
Using the Flexible Shaft
The included flexible shaft drill bit extension kit provides enhanced access to tight or awkward spaces.
- Insert the flexible shaft into the drill's keyless chuck and tighten securely.
- Insert the desired bit into the end of the flexible shaft.
- Use the flexible shaft for driving screws or drilling in areas where the main drill body cannot fit directly.
