Setup

1. Inserting the Micro SD Card

The device supports Micro SD cards up to 32GB. A 4GB card is included.

  1. Locate the Micro SD card slot, typically on the inside of one of the sunglass arms.
  2. Gently insert the Micro SD card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card in again until it springs out.

2. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the device. The operating battery life is approximately 2 hours.

  1. Connect the provided USB cable to the charging port on the sunglasses.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a computer's USB port or a 5V DC USB power adapter.
  3. An indicator light will typically show charging status (e.g., red for charging, off or blue for fully charged). Refer to the device's specific LED indicators for exact status.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

To power on the device, press and hold the power button (usually located on one of the arms) for a few seconds until an indicator light illuminates. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the light turns off.

Video Recording

The device records video at 1280x720 resolution with a frame rate of 25/30fps.

  1. Ensure the device is powered on.
  2. Press the record button (often the same as the power button, or a dedicated button) once to start video recording. An indicator light will typically flash or change color to indicate recording is in progress.
  3. Press the record button again to stop recording. The video file will be saved to the Micro SD card.

Snapshot Function

The device can capture still images at 2560x1920 resolution.

  1. While the device is powered on (and not recording video), press the snapshot button (refer to your specific device's button layout, often a quick press of the record button).
  2. An indicator light may flash briefly to confirm the photo has been taken. The image file will be saved to the Micro SD card.

Using the Remote Control

An IR remote controller is included for convenient operation.

  • Point the remote control towards the sunglasses.
  • Use the designated buttons on the remote to start/stop recording or take snapshots without directly touching the glasses.

Connecting to a Computer

To access recorded files, connect the sunglasses to a computer.

  1. Ensure the sunglasses are powered off.
  2. Connect the sunglasses to your computer using the provided USB cable.
  3. The device should appear as a removable disk drive (e.g., "USB Drive" or "Removable Disk").
  4. Open the drive to access the video and image files stored on the Micro SD card.
  5. Compatible operating systems include Windows 98/ME/XP/2000/Vista/Win7.

Connecting to TV (AV Output)

Use the included USB to TV cable for real-time AV recording display or playback on a television.

  1. Connect the USB end of the USB to TV cable to the sunglasses.
  2. Connect the RCA (yellow for video, white/red for audio if applicable) ends to the corresponding input ports on your television.
  3. Select the correct AV input channel on your TV.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft, lint-free cloth (like the one provided) to clean the polarized lenses. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the sunglasses in the provided glasses case to protect them from dust, scratches, and impacts.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures (-10°C to 60°C operating, -10°C to 70°C storage) or high humidity.

Troubleshooting

Device does not power on:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged. Connect to a power source and try again.
- Check if the power button is being pressed and held for the required duration.
Cannot record video/take photos:
- Verify that a Micro SD card is properly inserted and has sufficient free space.
- The Micro SD card might be full or corrupted. Try formatting the card (this will erase all data) or using a different card.
- Ensure the device is not in a different mode (e.g., connected to PC).
Computer does not recognize the device:
- Ensure the sunglasses are powered off before connecting to the computer.
- Try a different USB port on your computer.
- Use the provided USB cable. Some cables may only support charging.
- Restart your computer.
Poor video/image quality:
- Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from smudges or dust.
- Record in well-lit environments for optimal results.
