3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials from the box. Ensure all components are present: the steam generator base, the iron unit, and the user manual.

3.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the removable water tank from the base unit.
  3. Fill the water tank with tap water up to the 'MAX' indication. Do not overfill.
  4. Place the water tank back into the base unit until it clicks into place.

3.3 Initial Heat-up

  1. Place the steam generator on a stable, heat-resistant surface, such as an ironing board designed for steam generators.
  2. Plug the power cord into a grounded wall socket.
  3. The power light will illuminate, and the iron will begin to heat up. This typically takes approximately 2 minutes.
  4. The 'iron ready' light will stop blinking and remain steady when the iron is ready for use.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Ironing with Steam

  1. Once the 'iron ready' light is steady, press and hold the steam trigger under the handle to release steam.
  2. Move the iron smoothly over the fabric. The OptimalTEMP technology automatically adjusts to all ironable fabrics, eliminating the need for temperature settings.
  3. For stubborn creases, use the steam boost function by pressing the steam trigger twice quickly.

4.2 Vertical Steaming

The iron can also be used for vertical steaming of hanging garments, curtains, or delicate fabrics.

  1. Hold the iron in a vertical position, close to the fabric but not touching it.
  2. Press the steam trigger to release steam.

4.3 Auto Shut-off

For safety and energy saving, the appliance will automatically switch off if it has not been used for a certain period. To restart, simply press the power button or the steam trigger.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

5.1 Cleaning the Iron

  • Always unplug the iron and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
  • Clean the exterior of the base unit with a soft, damp cloth.

5.2 Smart Calc Clean System

The Smart Calc Clean System is designed to remove scale and prolong the life of your appliance. The 'Calc Clean' light will blink to remind you when descaling is needed.

  1. Ensure the water tank is filled.
  2. Place the iron on the Calc Clean container (if provided, or a suitable heat-resistant container).
  3. Press and hold the Calc Clean button for 2 seconds until you hear a few beeps.
  4. The iron will start the descaling process, which takes approximately 2 minutes. Steam and hot water will be discharged.
  5. When the process is complete, the 'Calc Clean' light will stop blinking.
  6. Wipe the soleplate clean.

6. Troubleshooting
