4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

  1. Insert the provided Li-ion battery into the battery compartment on the back of the microscope.
  2. Connect the USB cable to the microscope's 5V DC-in port and the other end to the power adapter.
  3. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate.
  4. Allow approximately 5 hours for a full charge. A fully charged battery provides 3.5-4 hours of working time.

4.2 Inserting a Micro-SD Card

A Micro-SD card (not included) is required to save photos and videos.

  1. Locate the Micro-SD card slot on the side of the microscope.
  2. Gently insert the Micro-SD card with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, push the card in slightly until it springs out.

4.3 Assembling the Stand

Attach the microscope to the adjustable stand for stable viewing and precise positioning.

  1. Secure the microscope onto the stand's mounting bracket.
  2. Adjust the angle and height using the stand's knobs to position the microscope over your subject.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button (ⓒ) until the LCD screen illuminates.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button (ⓒ) until the screen turns off.

5.2 Adjusting Magnification and Focus

The microscope offers 10x-300x optical magnification, expandable up to 1200x digitally.

  1. Place the object directly under the microscope lens.
  2. Rotate the focus wheel to bring the image into sharp clarity on the LCD screen.
  3. Use the Up/Down buttons to adjust digital zoom if desired, after achieving optical focus.

5.3 Adjusting LED Brightness

The 8 built-in LEDs provide illumination for your subject.

  • While viewing, press the dedicated LED brightness control button (if available, or use menu options) to cycle through brightness levels.
  • Adjust until the subject is evenly lit without glare.

5.4 Capturing Photos

  1. Ensure a Micro-SD card is inserted.
  2. With the desired image in focus on the screen, press the 'OK' button to capture a still image.
  3. The image will be saved to the Micro-SD card.

5.5 Recording Videos

  1. Ensure a Micro-SD card is inserted.
  2. Navigate to video mode using the 'Menu' button and Up/Down arrows.
  3. Press the 'OK' button to start recording. Press 'OK' again to stop recording.
  4. The video will be saved to the Micro-SD card.

5.6 Viewing Captured Media

  1. Enter playback mode via the 'Menu' button.
  2. Use the Up/Down buttons to navigate through saved photos and videos.
  3. Press 'OK' to view a photo or play a video.

5.7 Connecting to a Computer (Measurement by Software)

The included software allows for advanced measurement functions when connected to a computer.
