Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

Replace batteries in the outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. For optimal performance in cold temperatures, lithium batteries are recommended for the outdoor sensor. Replace backup batteries in the main station as needed.

2. Care and Cleaning

Clean the display and casing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may damage the unit. Ensure the outdoor sensor is protected from direct sunlight and moisture for longevity.

Troubleshooting

  • No outdoor temperature/humidity reading: Ensure the outdoor sensor batteries are fresh and correctly inserted. Press the TX button on the outdoor sensor to transmit data. On the main station, hold the TEMP button to initiate a sensor search.
  • Inaccurate forecast: The forecast is based on barometric pressure trends over the past 3 hours. Allow 7-10 days for barometric calibration. Note that forecasts may not always be 100% accurate.
  • Atomic time not setting: Ensure the station is placed away from electronic interference. Manually initiate a search for the WWVB signal.
