1. Introduction

4. Setup and Connection

Follow these steps to connect your Marmitek Connect 540 UHD HDMI Matrix Switch:

  1. Power Off Devices: Ensure all HDMI source devices (Blu-ray player, TV decoder, media player, etc.) and display devices (TVs, projectors) are powered off before making any connections.
  2. Connect HDMI Sources: Connect your HDMI source devices to the HDMI INPUT ports (1-4) on the Marmitek Connect 540 UHD using high-quality HDMI cables.
  3. Connect HDMI Displays: Connect your display devices to the HDMI OUTPUT A and OUTPUT B ports on the Marmitek Connect 540 UHD.
  4. Connect IR Receiver (Optional): If the switch is placed out of sight, connect the included IR receiver cable to the IR port on the switch and position the receiver in a location where it can receive signals from the remote control.
  5. Connect Power: Connect the power supply to the DC 5V port on the switch and then plug it into a power outlet.

5. Operation

5.1. Front Panel Controls

  • POWER Button: Press to turn the device on or off.
  • IR Receiver: Receives signals from the remote control.
  • INPUT Select Buttons (1-4): Manually select the desired HDMI input for the active output.
  • OUTPUT A/B Indicators: LEDs indicate which output is active and which input is selected for each output.

5.2. Remote Control

The included remote control allows for convenient switching between inputs and outputs.

  • Power Button: Turns the switch on or off.
  • Input Selection Buttons (1-4): Selects the HDMI input for the currently active output.
  • Output A / Output B Buttons: Toggles control between Output A and Output B. Once an output is selected, the input buttons (1-4) will control that specific output.

5.3. Automatic Switching

The Connect 540 UHD can automatically switch to a newly activated HDMI source. If a new source is powered on, the switch will detect it and automatically switch the active output to that source. This feature can be overridden by manual selection via the front panel or remote control.

The EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) switch allows you to manually configure the video resolution and audio format for each HDMI output.
