To create different lighting zones, you can set up multiple networks. Refer to the specific instructions included with your product for setting network channels, if applicable.
5. Operating Instructions
The Mr Beams MBN350 spotlight is designed for automatic, motion-activated operation.
5.1. Motion Activation
The integrated motion sensor detects movement from 15 to 30 feet away. When motion is detected, the spotlight will activate.
5.2. Light Sensor
The spotlight includes a light sensor that ensures it only activates in low-light conditions or at night. It will not turn on during daylight hours, conserving battery life.
5.3. Synchronized Lighting
Thanks to NetBright technology, when one spotlight in your network senses motion, all other spotlights on the same network will instantly activate. This provides comprehensive illumination across your desired area.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Battery Replacement
When the light output diminishes or the spotlight stops activating, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 4.1.
6.2. Cleaning
Wipe the spotlight's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the motion sensor and light sensor lenses are clean and free of obstructions for optimal performance.
6.3. Water Protection
As the unit is not water resistant, regularly inspect the mounting location and the unit itself for any signs of water exposure or ingress, especially after heavy rainfall. Relocate the unit if necessary to a more protected area.
7. Troubleshooting
If your Mr Beams MBN350 spotlight is not functioning as expected, refer to the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Spotlight does not turn on. | Dead or incorrectly installed batteries. | Replace batteries, ensuring correct polarity. |
| Insufficient darkness (light sensor active). | Test in complete darkness. Ensure the light sensor is not obstructed. | |
| Motion sensor obstructed or out of range. | Clear any obstructions from the sensor. Ensure motion occurs within 15-30 feet. | |
| Spotlights are not synchronizing. | Units are on different network channels. | Verify all units are set to the same network channel (refer to product-specific channel setting instructions). |
| Units are out of wireless range. | Ensure units are within 150 feet of each other. Relocate units closer if necessary. | |
| Spotlight turns on continuously or randomly. | Motion sensor detecting unwanted movement (e.g., trees, animals). | Adjust the spotlight's angle or relocate it to minimize false triggers. |
| Environmental factors (e.g., strong winds, temperature changes). | Consider relocating the unit if environmental factors are consistently causing false triggers. |
