- Lens Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a lens brush to gently remove dust and smudges. For stubborn marks, use a specialized lens cleaning solution.
- Body Cleaning: Wipe the camera body with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Sensor Cleaning: If dust spots appear on your images, use the camera's sensor cleaning function or a specialized sensor cleaning kit. Consult the full user manual for detailed instructions.
- Storage: Store the camera in a dry, dust-free environment, ideally in a camera bag with desiccant packets to prevent moisture buildup.
Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and potential solutions for your LUMIX G7:
- Battery Drains Quickly: Ensure the LCD screen is not left on unnecessarily. Reduce screen brightness. Turn off Wi-Fi when not in use. Consider carrying spare batteries.
- Autofocus Issues: Ensure sufficient lighting. Clean the lens and sensor. Select an appropriate AF mode for your subject (e.g., Tracking AF for moving subjects, Face Detection for portraits).
- 4K Video Recording Stops: Use a high-speed SD card (UHS-II recommended) with sufficient free space. Ensure the camera's internal temperature is not too high.
- Image Noise at High ISO: Shoot in well-lit conditions. Utilize the camera's noise reduction settings, but be aware that aggressive noise reduction can reduce detail.
