Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure your Keurig K200 Brewer continues to perform optimally.
1. Cleaning the Exterior
- Wipe the exterior of the brewer with a damp, non-abrasive cloth.
- Do not immerse the brewer in water or other liquids.
2. Cleaning the Drip Tray

- Wash the drip tray and its cover with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- The drip tray is top-rack dishwasher safe.
3. Cleaning the K-Cup Pod Holder
- The K-Cup pod holder can be removed for cleaning. Lift the brewer handle and grasp the top of the K-Cup pod holder with one hand while pushing up on the bottom of the K-Cup pod holder from underneath with the other hand until it releases.
- Wash the K-Cup pod holder with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- To replace, align the K-Cup pod holder with the opening and snap it back into place.
4. Descaling
Over time, calcium deposits (scale) can build up in your brewer and affect performance. Descaling should be performed every 3 to 6 months, or when the descaling indicator appears on the display. Use a Keurig descaling solution or a vinegar solution as recommended by Keurig. Follow the specific descaling instructions provided by Keurig, typically involving running several cycles of the descaling solution followed by fresh water.
5. Water Filter Replacement
For best results, replace your water filter every 2 months or 60 tank refills. Refer to the water filter instructions for proper replacement procedures.
