Important Safeguards

• Oversize foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in a toaster oven as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
• A fire may occur if the toaster oven is covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
• Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electric shock.
• Extreme caution should be exercised when using containers constructed of other than metal or glass.
• Do not store any materials, other than manufacturer's recommended accessories, in this oven when not in use.
• Do not place any of the following materials in the oven: paper, cardboard, plastic, or any materials that could catch fire or melt.
• Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause the oven to overheat.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Setup and First Use

Unpacking:

1. Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and plastic bands from the toaster oven.
2. Remove all parts from the box and read the instructions.
3. Wash all removable parts as instructed in the "Care and Cleaning" section.
4. Select a location for the unit. Place the unit on a stable, heat-resistant surface, ensuring at least 4 inches of space on all sides and above the oven for proper air circulation.
5. Ensure the crumb tray is properly inserted before use.

Before First Use:

It is recommended to run the toaster oven for approximately 10 minutes on the "Bake" setting at 450°F (230°C) to burn off any manufacturing oils. This may produce a slight odor and some smoke; this is normal and will dissipate. Ensure the area is well-ventilated during this process.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview:

The toaster oven features three control knobs:

• Top Knob: Function Selector (Toast, Broil, Bake, Warm)
• Middle Knob: Temperature Control (150°F - 450°F)
• Bottom Knob: Timer/Toast Shade Control (0-60 minutes with Stay-On, Light-Dark for Toast)

Rack Positions:

The oven includes three rack positions for optimal cooking:

• Upper Position: Ideal for broiling or quick browning.
• Middle Position: Standard position for most baking and toasting.
• Lower Position: Suitable for larger items or slow cooking.

Functions:

Toasting:

1. Place food directly on the wire rack in the middle position.
2. Turn the Function Selector knob to Toast.
3. Turn the Timer/Toast Shade Control knob to the desired toast shade (Light to Dark). The oven will begin toasting and automatically shut off when the cycle is complete.

Baking (Convection):

1. Place food in an oven-safe pan on the wire rack. Use the middle or lower rack position depending on food size.
2. Turn the Function Selector knob to Bake.
3. Turn the Temperature Control knob to the desired temperature.
4. Turn the Timer/Toast Shade Control knob to the desired baking time. For continuous baking, turn past 60 minutes to the Stay On setting. The oven will remain on until manually turned off.
5. The convection fan will operate during the bake cycle to ensure even cooking.

Broiling:

1. Place food on the baking pan and then on the wire rack in the upper position.
2. Turn the Function Selector knob to Broil.
3. Turn the Temperature Control knob to Broil (usually the highest setting).
4. Turn the Timer/Toast Shade Control knob to the desired broiling time. Monitor food closely as broiling is a fast cooking method.

Keep Warm:

1. Place cooked food in an oven-safe dish on the wire rack.
2. Turn the Function Selector knob to Warm.
3. Turn the Temperature Control knob to the desired warm temperature (e.g., 150°F).
4. Turn the Timer/Toast Shade Control knob to the desired warming time or Stay On.

Care and Cleaning

Proper care and cleaning will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your toaster oven.

1. Always unplug the toaster oven from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Crumb Tray: Slide out the crumb tray from the bottom front of the oven. Discard crumbs. Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Reinsert the crumb tray before next use.
3. Wire Rack and Baking Pan: These can be washed in warm, soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. They are not dishwasher safe.
4. Interior: Wipe the interior walls with a damp cloth and mild liquid soap solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they can damage the non-stick coating. For stubborn stains, a paste of baking soda and water can be applied, left for a few minutes, then wiped clean.
5. Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. For stainless steel surfaces, use a stainless steel cleaner for best results.
6. Glass Door: Clean the glass door with a glass cleaner or a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
7. Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
