4. Setup
4.1 Assembly
The Bosch Athlet vacuum cleaner is designed for quick and easy assembly. Simply connect the main components until they click into place.
- Insert the handle into the main unit until it securely locks.
- Attach the AllFloor HighPower brush head to the bottom of the main unit, ensuring it clicks firmly into position.
- Ensure the dust container and filter are correctly installed in the main unit.
4.2 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the appliance battery. The battery indicator will show the charging status.
- Connect the charging cable to the charging port on the vacuum cleaner.
- Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.
- A full charge from empty typically takes approximately 6 hours. An 80% charge can be achieved in about 3 hours.
- The LED display will indicate charging progress and completion.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
- To turn on the vacuum cleaner, press the On/Off button located on the handle.
- To turn off the vacuum cleaner, press the On/Off button again.
5.2 Suction Levels
The Bosch Athlet offers 3 suction levels to adapt to different cleaning needs:
- Level 1 (Eco): For light cleaning and maximum battery runtime.
- Level 2 (Normal): For everyday cleaning on various surfaces.
- Level 3 (Turbo): For stubborn dirt and deep cleaning, especially on carpets.
Press the mode selection button to cycle through the suction levels.

5.4 Maneuverability and Self-Standing Function
The vacuum's flexible design allows for easy maneuverability around furniture and into tight spaces. Its self-standing function enables convenient pausing during cleaning or upright storage.

5.5 Using Accessories
Attach the crevice nozzle or upholstery nozzle directly to the main unit for specialized cleaning tasks.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Emptying the Dust Container
Empty the XL dust container regularly, especially when the "Max" line is reached or suction power decreases.
- Press the release button to detach the dust container from the main unit.
- Hold the dust container over a waste bin and open the lid to empty the contents.
- Close the lid and reattach the dust container to the main unit until it clicks into place.
6.2 Cleaning the Filter
The LED display will indicate when the filter needs cleaning. The hygienic filter ensures particularly clean exhaust air.
- Remove the dust container as described above.
- Carefully remove the filter from the dust container.
- Tap the filter gently over a bin to remove dust. For thorough cleaning, rinse the filter under cold running water.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it. Do not use a hairdryer or other heating devices.
6.3 Cleaning the AllFloor HighPower Brush
The EasyClean system allows for simple removal and cleaning of the brush roll.

- Turn off the vacuum cleaner.
- Locate the release mechanism on the side of the brush head.
- Pull the brush roll out.
- Remove any tangled hair, threads, or debris from the brush roll using scissors if necessary.
- Reinsert the clean brush roll until it locks into place.
6.4 General Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing the appliance.
