Setup
1. Battery Installation
The Nino Rocker Toy requires 2 AA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the toy.
- Using a screwdriver, loosen the screw on the battery compartment cover and remove the cover.
- Insert 2 new AA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screw securely.
Note: Always use fresh batteries of the same type. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the toy will not be used for an extended period.

2. Initial Power On
After installing the batteries, locate the On/Off switch, usually near the battery compartment. Slide the switch to the 'On' position to activate the toy.
Operating Instructions
The VTech Nino Rocker Toy offers several interactive features:
- Motion Sensor: When the toy is rocked or moved, its built-in motion sensor will activate, playing fun phrases and melodies.
- Light-Up Button: Press the luminous button located on the toy's body to activate cheerful melodies and phrases. This feature helps teach cause-and-effect relationships.
- Rolling Ball: Spin the ball integrated into the toy to learn numbers from 1 to 10 and identify various musical instruments.
- Maracas: The maracas in Nino's hands will rattle and make sounds when the toy is rocked, adding to the sensory experience.
Important Note: This product is designed to speak in Spanish. All phrases, songs, and number teachings will be in Spanish.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the toy, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the toy in water or use harsh cleaning agents, as this may damage the electronic components.
Battery Care
Always remove exhausted batteries promptly. If the toy will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and corrosion.
Troubleshooting
- Toy not turning on or no sound:
- Check if the On/Off switch is in the 'On' position.
- Ensure batteries are installed correctly with the right polarity.
- Replace with fresh AA batteries.
- Intermittent sound or distorted audio:
- This may indicate low battery power. Replace the batteries.
- Ensure the toy is clean and free from debris that might obstruct the speaker.
