  1. Unpack the Stove: Carefully remove the stove and all components from its packaging. Ensure all packing materials are removed.
  2. Open the Stove: Place the stove on a flat, stable surface. Unlatch the front clasp and lift the lid.
  3. Extend Wind-Blocking Panels: The side panels are designed to fold out. Secure them by inserting the small metal clips into the designated holes on the side of the stove base. These panels help shield the burners from wind and can be adjusted for various pan sizes.
  4. Attach Propane Regulator: The propane regulator is typically stored inside the stove. Remove it and securely screw it into the gas inlet on the side of the stove. Ensure a tight connection to prevent leaks.
  5. Place Cooking Grate: The chrome-plated cooking grate sits over the burners. Ensure it is properly seated. This grate is removable for easy cleaning.

Operating Instructions

  1. Connect Propane Cylinder: Screw a 16.4 oz (1 lb) propane cylinder (not included) onto the regulator. Hand-tighten only.
  2. Lighting the Burners: This stove does not feature a piezo ignition. Use a long-stem lighter or matches. Turn the burner control knob slowly to the "LIGHT" position while simultaneously applying the flame to the burner. Once lit, adjust the flame to the desired heat level.
  3. Adjusting Flame: Use the individual control knobs for each burner to achieve precise temperature control, from a high boil to a gentle simmer.
  4. Cooking Capacity: The stove is designed to accommodate a 12-inch pan and a 10-inch pan simultaneously on its two burners.
  5. After Use: Turn off both burner control knobs completely. Disconnect the propane cylinder once the stove has cooled down.

  • Cleaning the Grate: The chrome-plated grate is removable for easy cleaning. Wash with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge.
  • Cleaning the Cooktop: The rust-resistant aluminum cooktop can be wiped clean. For easier maintenance, some users line the cooktop area with aluminum foil before use to catch spills and grease.
  • Storage: Ensure the stove is completely cool and clean before storing. Disconnect the propane cylinder and store the regulator inside the stove. Close the lid and latch it securely.

Troubleshooting

  • Burner Not Lighting:
    • Ensure propane cylinder is connected correctly and has fuel.
    • Check for gas flow by listening for a hiss when the knob is turned.
    • Verify that a flame source (lighter/match) is applied directly to the burner.
  • Low Flame/Inconsistent Performance:
    • The pressure-control technology is designed for consistent performance. If experiencing issues, ensure the propane cylinder is not low on fuel.
    • Check for any obstructions in the burner ports.
    • Ensure wind-blocking panels are properly positioned to protect the flame.
  • Gas Leak Smell:
    • Immediately turn off the stove and disconnect the propane cylinder.
    • Move away from the area and ventilate.
    • Do not attempt to light the stove. Check all connections for leaks using soapy water. If a leak persists, do not use the stove and contact Coleman customer support.
