Introduction

The STAR WARS Furbacca is an interactive toy designed to bring the beloved Wookiee character, Chewbacca, to life with Furby-style interactions. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and care of your Furbacca toy, allowing you to explore its unique features and app-integrated activities.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The Furbacca toy requires 4 AA batteries (not included). To install:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the Furbacca.
2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 4 new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

2. Initial Activation

Once batteries are installed, Furbacca will activate automatically. It does not feature a manual on/off switch. To put Furbacca to sleep, gently pull and hold its tail for approximately 10 seconds, or lay it on its back.

3. App Download (Optional)

For enhanced interactive play, download the official Furbacca app. The app is available for compatible Apple and select Android devices. For detailed compatibility information and instructions, visit starwars.hasbro.com. The app was available through at least June 2017.

Operating Furbacca

Furbacca responds to various physical interactions and can also interact with its dedicated app.

1. Physical Interactions

• Petting: Gently pet Furbacca's head or back to elicit Wookiee sounds and other responses.
• Tickling: Tickle Furbacca's belly to hear it react with giggles and movements.
• Shaking: Gently shake Furbacca to trigger different sounds and movements.
• Flipping Upside Down: Furbacca will react with unique sounds and eye animations when held upside down.
• Tail Pulling: Pulling Furbacca's tail can trigger various responses, including putting it to sleep if held for 10 seconds.

2. Sounds and Expressions

Furbacca features a range of sounds and visual expressions:

• Wookiee Sounds: Furbacca makes authentic Wookiee sounds, similar to Chewbacca.
• Star Wars Theme Songs: It hums and plays various Star Wars theme songs.
• Lightsaber and Blaster Sounds: Furbacca mimics iconic lightsaber and blaster sound effects.
• Eye Animations: Its LCD eyes display a variety of expressions and graphic elements from the Star Wars universe, such as lightsabers, X-wing fighters, and Star Destroyers.

3. App Integration

Connect Furbacca to its app for additional interactive experiences:

• Virtual Activities: Engage in virtual activities like feeding Furbacca treats or giving it a shower after a simulated battle.
• Hatching Furblings: Collect virtual eggs within the app and store them in the "Bacta Tank" until they hatch into Star Wars-themed Furby Furblings, such as Princess Leia, Han Solo, or Darth Vader.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To clean your Furbacca, gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the toy in water or use harsh cleaning agents, as this may damage the electronic components.

2. Battery Replacement

When Furbacca's responses become sluggish or it stops functioning, it's likely time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section.

Troubleshooting

• Furbacca is not responding: Ensure fresh batteries are correctly installed. If using the app, check that your device's Bluetooth is enabled and the app is running correctly.
• Furbacca does not turn off: The Furbacca toy does not have a traditional on/off switch. To put it to sleep, gently pull and hold its tail for approximately 10 seconds, or lay it on its back.
• App connectivity issues: Verify your device's Bluetooth is enabled and that the Furbacca app is up to date. Refer to the app's help section or the Hasbro website for further assistance.
