4. Setup

1. Placement: Position the incubator on a stable, level surface in a room with a consistent ambient temperature, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or extreme temperature fluctuations.
2. Assembly: Ensure the automatic egg turner and deep egg tray are correctly installed within the incubator base. The egg turner is designed to fit securely.
3. Power Connection: Plug the incubator into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. The digital display should illuminate.
4. Pre-heating: Allow the incubator to pre-heat for at least 4-6 hours to stabilize the internal temperature at the factory pre-set of 100°F (37.8°C). Monitor the digital display for temperature readings.
5. Initial Humidity: Fill the easy-fill water channels located in the base of the incubator with warm water. This can be done without removing the lid. Refer to the manual for specific channel filling instructions to achieve desired humidity levels for your egg type.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Digital Display Overview

The digital display provides real-time information:

• Temperature: Shows the current internal temperature (pre-set to 100°F).
• Humidity: Displays the current relative humidity percentage.
• Days to Hatch: A countdown timer, pre-set to 21 days for chicken eggs, adjustable for other species.
• Egg Turning Times: Indicates the interval until the next automatic egg turn.

5.2 Temperature and Humidity Control

• The incubator maintains a factory pre-set temperature of 100°F (37.8°C). This can be adjusted as needed for different species.
• Humidity is controlled by adding water to the easy-fill channels. Monitor the digital display and add water as necessary to maintain optimal levels for your specific eggs.
• A high/low temperature notification light will flash if the temperature falls outside the optimal range, alerting you to adjust conditions.

5.3 Automatic Egg Turning

• The automatic egg turner gently rotates eggs every 90 minutes in a 75-second cycle. This eliminates manual handling and ensures even heat distribution.
• The egg turner rollers can be adjusted to accommodate various egg sizes, from chicken to larger duck and goose eggs.

5.4 Egg Candling

• Use the included egg candler to monitor the internal development of the eggs. This allows you to check for fertility and embryo growth without disturbing the incubation environment.

5.5 Lockdown Phase

• Approximately 3 days before the expected hatch date, remove the automatic egg turner. This allows the eggs to settle into position for hatching.
• Increase the humidity during this period by adding more water to the channels as per specific species requirements.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: The durable plastic shell and easy-fill water channels are designed for simple cleaning. After each hatch, disconnect the power and clean all surfaces with a mild disinfectant solution. Ensure all parts are completely dry before storage or next use.
• Water Channels: Regularly check and refill water channels to maintain consistent humidity. The easy-fill design allows this without opening the lid.

7. Troubleshooting

• Temperature Fluctuations: If the high/low temperature notification light flashes, check the ambient room temperature and ensure the incubator is not exposed to drafts or direct sunlight. Adjust room conditions or incubator placement as needed.
• Humidity Issues: If humidity is too low, add more warm water to the channels. If too high, ensure proper ventilation by adjusting the vent plugs (if applicable) or reducing water in channels.
• Egg Turner Not Working: Ensure the egg turner is properly connected and the incubator is powered on. If the issue persists, consult the full owner's manual.
