4. Setup and Installation

2. Startup Wizard: The Night Owl Startup Wizard will guide you through the initial configuration. Click "Next" to proceed.
3. User Account Creation: Create a username and an 8-character password for your system. It is crucial to store this information securely as it will be required for mobile access.
4. Network Configuration:
   • First-time users: Select "Auto" to begin the automated setup process.
   • Experienced users: Select "Manual" if you are reconfiguring or know your desired network settings. Advanced network knowledge is required for manual setup.

   • Confirm that the device information (Device Name, Scan ID, Media Port, Username, Password, Channels) displayed on your mobile app matches the system's information.
   • Press "Save" in the app's upper right-hand corner to complete the mobile access configuration.
8. Disable Startup Wizard: It is recommended to disable the startup wizard in the System menu to prevent it from appearing on future system boots.
