6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your barbecue.
6.1. Cleaning the Grill Grates
After each use, once the grates have cooled, clean them with a grill brush. For stubborn residue, wash with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. The enameled cast iron grates are durable and easy to clean.
6.2. Exterior Cleaning
Wipe down exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish.
6.3. Gas Line and Burner Inspection
Periodically inspect the gas hose and connections for cracks, cuts, or leaks. Check burner ports for blockages from food debris or insects. Clean as necessary using a wire brush or a thin wire.
6.4. Storage
When not in use, especially during off-season, store the barbecue in a dry, protected area. Disconnect the gas bottle and store it separately according to local regulations. Consider using a barbecue cover to protect against elements.
