3. Bleeding the Hydraulic System (if necessary): Air can become trapped in the hydraulic system during shipping. To bleed the system:
   • Turn the release valve counter-clockwise to fully open it.
   • Pump the handle rapidly 10-15 times without a load.
   • Turn the release valve clockwise to close it.
   • The jack should now operate smoothly. Repeat if necessary.

5.1. Lifting a Vehicle

1. Preparation: Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels that will remain on the ground.
2. Positioning the Jack: Locate the vehicle manufacturer's recommended lifting points. Position the jack so the saddle is directly under the lifting point. Ensure the rubber saddle pad is in place.
3. Raise the Jack: Turn the release valve clockwise until it is fully closed. Pump the handle to raise the jack saddle until it makes contact with the vehicle's lifting point.
4. Lift the Vehicle: Continue pumping the handle to lift the vehicle to the desired height. Lift only high enough to allow for the placement of jack stands.
5. Secure with Jack Stands: Immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle's designated support points. Lower the vehicle slowly onto the jack stands by gradually turning the release valve counter-clockwise. Ensure the vehicle is stable on the jack stands before performing any work.
6. Remove Jack: Once the vehicle is securely supported by jack stands, fully lower the jack and remove it from under the vehicle.

5.2. Lowering a Vehicle

1. Preparation: Ensure the area around the vehicle is clear.
2. Raise Slightly: Position the jack under the vehicle's lifting point and raise the vehicle slightly, just enough to clear the jack stands.
3. Remove Jack Stands: Carefully remove the jack stands from under the vehicle.
4. Lower Vehicle: Slowly turn the release valve counter-clockwise to gradually lower the vehicle to the ground. Do not open the valve too quickly, as this can cause the vehicle to drop rapidly.
5. Remove Jack: Once the vehicle is fully on the ground, fully open the release valve, lower the jack completely, and remove it.
