2. Setup
2.1 Power Connection
Connect the supplied 16V DC power adapter to the 'POWER SUPPLY' input on the rear panel of the amplifier. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting. Plug the adapter into a suitable mains power outlet.

2.2 Instrument Connection
Plug your instrument cable into the INPUT jack located on the top control panel. The amplifier is compatible with electric, acoustic, and bass guitars.
2.3 Bluetooth Pairing
To pair a Bluetooth device for audio streaming:
- Ensure the amplifier is powered on.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the control panel until the LED flashes.
- On your device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), navigate to Bluetooth settings and select 'IDCOREBEAM' from the list of available devices.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth LED on the amplifier will glow solid blue.
2.4 USB Connection

3.1 Control Panel Overview

- INPUT: 1/4" jack for instrument connection.
- VOICE: Rotary switch to select amplifier voice. Includes 6 electric guitar voices (Clean Warm, Clean Bright, Crunch, Super Crunch, OD 1, OD 2), 2 bass voices (Bass 1, Bass 2), 2 acoustic voices, and 2 acoustic simulator voices (AC SIM 1, AC SIM 2).
- GAIN: Adjusts the amount of overdrive or distortion.
- VOLUME: Controls the overall output level of the amplifier.
- EQ (ISF): The Patented Infinite Shape Feature (ISF) control allows you to infinitely adjust the tone from a 'British' characteristic (counter-clockwise) to an 'American' characteristic (clockwise).
- EFFECTS: Includes Modulation (MOD), Delay (DLY), and Reverb (REV) effects. Use the TYPE knob to select the effect type and the LEVEL knob to adjust its intensity.
- MANUAL Button: Toggles between Manual mode (controls reflect physical knob positions) and Stored Patch mode. Hold to store a patch.
- USB Port: For connecting to a computer for recording and software control.
- Bluetooth Button: For pairing and connecting Bluetooth audio devices.
- TAP Button: Used for setting delay times or other time-based effects.
- EM. OUT & PHONES: Emulated output for direct recording or headphone use.
- MP3 / LINE IN: 3.5mm stereo input for connecting external audio sources like MP3 players.
3.2 Selecting Voices and Effects
Rotate the VOICE knob to select the desired amplifier type for your instrument. Experiment with the GAIN and ISF controls to shape your core tone. Use the TYPE and LEVEL knobs in the Effects section to add and adjust digital effects.
3.3 Storing and Recalling Patches
The ID Core Beam allows you to store up to 12 user-defined patches. To store a patch, set your desired tone using the knobs, then press and hold the MANUAL button until the LEDs flash, indicating the patch is saved. To recall a patch, briefly press the MANUAL button to cycle through stored patches or use the Blackstar Insider software.
3.4 Using with External Audio
Connect an external audio device to the MP3 / LINE IN jack to play along with music. Adjust the volume on your external device. For silent practice or direct recording, connect headphones or a recording interface to the EM. OUT & PHONES jack.
