The Philips Incanto espresso machine is designed to deliver a wide range of coffee specialties with ease, featuring adjustable settings for length, aroma, and grind, as well as Latte Perfetto technology for milk froth.
Safety Information
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.
- Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to your local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the machine from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future transport or service.
- Positioning: Place the machine on a stable, level surface, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
- Water Tank: Remove the water tank, rinse it, and fill it with fresh tap water up to the MAX indication. Insert the AquaClean filter if desired (see Figure 4). Reinsert the water tank into the machine.
- Bean Hopper: Open the bean hopper lid and fill it with fresh coffee beans. Do not fill with ground coffee, instant coffee, or caramelized beans.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into the machine and then into a grounded wall outlet.
- First Use Rinse Cycle: The machine will prompt you to perform an initial rinse cycle. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete this process. This primes the system and ensures optimal performance.

Operating Instructions
Making Espresso/Coffee
- Ensure the water tank is filled and the bean hopper contains coffee beans.
- Place a cup under the coffee spout.
- Press the "Espresso" or "Espresso Lungo" button. The machine will grind the beans and brew your coffee.
- To adjust aroma strength, press the "Aroma Strength" button repeatedly before brewing to cycle through options.
- To adjust coffee volume, press and hold the desired coffee button until the display shows "MEMO". Release the button when the desired amount is dispensed, then press it again to save.

Using the Milk Frother (Latte Perfetto)
- Place a container with milk under the milk frother.
- Press the "Milk Froth" button. The machine will start frothing milk.
- Once the desired amount of frothed milk is achieved, press the "Milk Froth" button again to stop.
- After frothing, clean the milk frother immediately by dispensing hot water through it to prevent milk residue buildup.
Dispensing Hot Water
- Place a cup under the hot water spout.
- Press the "Hot Water" button.
- Press the "Hot Water" button again to stop dispensing.
Maintenance
Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray and Coffee Grounds Container: Empty and rinse the drip tray and coffee grounds container daily or when prompted by the machine.
- Brew Group: The brew group is removable for easy cleaning. Rinse it under lukewarm running water at least once a week. Allow it to air dry before reinserting.
- Milk Frother: After each use, clean the milk frother by dispensing hot water through it. For thorough cleaning, disassemble and rinse its components.
Weekly/Monthly Cleaning
- Brew Group Lubrication: Lubricate the brew group with Philips/Saeco grease every two months or after approximately 500 coffees.
- Coffee Oil Remover Tablets: Use Philips/Saeco coffee oil remover tablets monthly to clean the coffee circuit and remove coffee oil residues.
Descaling
- The machine will indicate when descaling is required. Use only Philips/Saeco descaling solution.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for the automatic descaling procedure. This process typically takes about 20-30 minutes.
- Regular descaling is crucial for maintaining machine performance and extending its lifespan.
Troubleshooting
