Before you begin, ensure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker. Gather the necessary tools: screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, and safety glasses.

  1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker that supplies power to the light fixture outlet box. Turn the breaker to the "OFF" position. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Remove Old Fixture (if applicable): Carefully disconnect and remove any existing light fixture.
  3. Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate (typically included in the hardware kit) to the electrical outlet box using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.

  6. Install Bulbs: Insert two G9 base bulbs (maximum 40 watts each, not included) into the sockets. Do not overtighten.
  7. Attach Glass Shades: Carefully place the glass shades over the bulb sockets and secure them according to the fixture's design (e.g., with retaining rings or screws). Ensure they are snug but do not overtighten.

(Image description: A step-by-step illustration showing how to install the G9 bulbs and then secure the glass shades onto the fixture.)

  8. Restore Power: Once installation is complete, return to the circuit breaker and turn the power back "ON". Test the fixture.

4. Operating Instructions

The ELK Lighting Ventor Bath Vanity is operated by a standard wall switch connected to the electrical circuit. Simply toggle the wall switch to turn the light fixture ON or OFF.

  • Ensure the wall switch is in the "ON" position for the fixture to receive power.
  • If the fixture does not turn on, refer to the Troubleshooting section.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your light fixture.

  • Cleaning: Always disconnect power at the circuit breaker before cleaning. To clean the polished chrome finish, use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish.
  • Glass Shades: The glass shades can be removed for thorough cleaning. Wash with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before reattaching.
  • Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off before replacing bulbs. Allow bulbs to cool completely before touching. Replace with G9 base bulbs, maximum 40 watts.
