5.5. Install Batteries

Insert the two AAA batteries into the battery compartment, observing the correct polarity (+/-). The batteries provide power for the display and memory retention.

5.6. Attach Front Cover and Restore Power

Carefully snap the front cover onto the thermostat base. Once secured, restore power to your heating and cooling system at the main circuit breaker. The thermostat display should now illuminate.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Setting Current Time and Day

  1. Press the DAY button to set the current day of the week.
  2. Use the Up or Down arrows to adjust the time.
  3. Press PROGRAM or wait a few seconds for the settings to save.

6.2. Selecting Operating Mode (Heat/Cool)

Press the HC button to cycle through available modes: Heat, Cool, Off. Select the desired mode for your environment.

6.3. Adjusting Temperature

In Heat or Cool mode, use the Up or Down arrows to set your desired temperature. The thermostat will maintain this temperature until the next programmed event or manual adjustment.

  5. Once all desired periods are set, exit programming mode by pressing PROGRAM until the normal display returns, or wait for the thermostat to automatically exit.

6.6. Hold Function

Press the HOLD button to maintain the current temperature setting indefinitely, overriding any programmed schedule. To cancel the hold, press HOLD again, and the thermostat will revert to its programmed schedule.

6.7. Temporary Temperature Override (TMTEMP)

Press the TMTEMP button, then use the Up or Down arrows to set a temporary temperature. This temporary setting will remain active until the next scheduled program change, at which point the thermostat will resume its regular schedule.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning the Thermostat

Wipe the exterior of the thermostat with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or internal components.

7.2. Battery Replacement

When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the two AAA batteries immediately. To replace:

  1. Gently remove the front cover of the thermostat.
  2. Remove the old batteries and dispose of them according to local regulations.
  3. Insert new AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Snap the front cover back into place.
