Setup

1. Battery Installation

The microscope requires 3 LR1130 cell batteries (included) to power the LED and UV lights. To install or replace batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the microscope unit.
2. Open the compartment and insert the 3 LR1130 batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment securely.

2. Attaching the Clip and Microscope to Your Phone

The detachable clip allows for quick and easy attachment to your phone's camera.

1. Attach the microscope unit to the clip by screwing it into the designated junction.
2. Open the clip and position it over your mobile phone's primary camera lens. Ensure the microscope lens is centered over the phone's camera.
3. The clip is designed to accommodate phones with a distance between the phone edge and the camera lens of approximately 0.3 inches to 1.06 inches (0.76 cm to 2.7 cm).

Operating Instructions

1. Activating the Lights

The microscope is equipped with a bright LED light for general illumination and a UV light for specialized applications like currency detection. Use the switch on the side of the microscope to toggle between the LED light, UV light, or off position.

2. Observing and Focusing

Once the microscope is attached to your phone and the camera app is open:

1. Place the microscope lens directly over the object you wish to observe.

1. Cleaning the Lenses

To ensure clear images, keep the microscope lenses clean. Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.

2. Battery Replacement

If the LED or UV lights dim or stop working, replace the LR1130 batteries as described in the 'Battery Installation' section under Setup.

Troubleshooting

• Difficulty Focusing: Ensure the microscope lens is directly over the object. Adjust the focus ring slowly. Also, try using your phone's digital zoom to help refine the image.
• Image is Dark or Unclear: Verify that the LED light is switched on. Ensure the microscope lens is clean. Adjust the distance between the microscope and the object.
• Black Areas in Photos or Obstructed View: Ensure the microscope is perfectly centered over your phone's camera lens. Some newer phone models may have obstruction detection features that interfere with external lenses; try adjusting the microscope's position slightly or checking your phone's camera settings.
• Clip Not Stable: Ensure the clip is firmly attached to both the microscope and the phone. The clip is designed for a specific range of phone thicknesses and camera placements.
• LED/UV Light Not Working: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary.
