Setup Guide

1. Unpacking and Placement

  • Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  • Place the main unit (DVD player/receiver) on a stable, flat surface near your television. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  • Position the subwoofer on the floor, ideally in a corner or near a wall for optimal bass response.
  • Arrange the five satellite speakers around your listening area for a true surround sound experience. The front left and right speakers should be placed on either side of your TV, the center speaker directly above or below the TV, and the surround left and right speakers to the sides or slightly behind your listening position.

2. Connecting Speakers

Connect the satellite speakers to the subwoofer's 5.1 CH SPEAKER OUTPUT terminals (refer to Figure 4). Ensure that each speaker's cable is connected to the corresponding output (FL for Front Left, FR for Front Right, CEN for Center, SL for Surround Left, SR for Surround Right). The subwoofer itself connects to the main unit.

  1. Identify the speaker cables. Each speaker cable is typically color-coded or labeled to match the corresponding output on the subwoofer.
  2. Connect the bare wire ends of each satellite speaker cable to the spring clip terminals on the back of the subwoofer. Ensure positive (+) and negative (-) terminals are matched correctly.
  3. Connect the 5.1 CH AUDIO INPUT from the subwoofer to the 5.1 CH AUDIO OUT on the main unit (DVD player/receiver) using RCA cables. Match the colors (e.g., Red to Red, White to White, Green to Green, etc.).

3. Connecting to Your Television/Audio Source

Choose one of the following video output options to connect the main unit to your TV (refer to Figure 3):

  • Composite Video (Yellow RCA): Connect the VIDEO OUT jack on the main unit to the Video In jack on your TV. This provides standard definition video.
  • S-Video: Connect the S-VIDEO OUT jack on the main unit to the S-Video In jack on your TV for improved video quality over composite.
  • Coaxial Digital Audio: For digital audio output to a compatible receiver or soundbar, connect the COAXIAL DIGITAL OUT jack on the main unit.

For audio input from external devices (e.g., TV audio), use the AUDIO IN (L/R) jacks on the main unit.

4. Power Connection

  • Ensure all connections are secure before plugging in the power cables.
  • Connect the power cable of the main unit to a standard AC outlet.
  • Connect the power cable of the subwoofer to a standard AC outlet.
