4. Setup and Assembly

The Swift Current Foam Spa is designed for easy assembly. Follow these steps carefully.

  1. Site Selection: Choose a flat, level, and stable surface for your spa. Ensure the location can support the weight of the spa when filled (approximately 250 gallons of water plus occupants). Consider proximity to a suitable electrical outlet and drainage.
  2. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay out the spa liner in the chosen location.
  3. Connect Control Unit: Attach the control unit/heater pump to the spa liner using the provided hoses and connectors. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks. Refer to the markings on the spa liner and control unit for correct hose placement (inlet/outlet).
  4. Install Filter Cartridges: Insert the filter cartridges into their designated housing within the spa liner. Ensure they are securely seated.
  5. Fill with Water: Using a garden hose, fill the spa with fresh water to the recommended fill line. Do not overfill or underfill.
  6. Power Connection: Plug the control unit into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet meets the electrical requirements specified in the specifications section.
  7. Initial Water Treatment: Before first use, treat the water with appropriate spa chemicals to balance pH and sanitize. Consult a spa chemical guide for proper dosages and procedures.

5. Operating Instructions

Once assembled and filled, your Swift Current Foam Spa is ready for operation.

5.1 Control Panel Overview

The control unit features a digital display and buttons for various functions. Familiarize yourself with the layout:

  • Power Button: Turns the spa on/off.
  • Temperature Up/Down: Adjusts the desired water temperature.
  • Jet/Bubble Button: Activates the 88 massage jets and 500W massage blower. Press once for jets, again to turn off.
  • Filter Button: Manually activates or deactivates the filtration cycle.
  • Heater Indicator: Illuminates when the heater is active.

5.2 Heating the Spa

After filling, set your desired temperature using the Up/Down buttons. The heater will activate automatically to reach the set temperature. Heating time will vary based on ambient temperature and initial water temperature. Using the thermal blanket and locking cover will significantly reduce heating time and energy consumption.

5.3 Using the Jets

Press the Jet/Bubble button on the control panel to activate the massage blower and jets. The 500W blower provides warm bubbles for relaxation. Press the button again to turn off the jets.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the performance and longevity of your spa.

6.1 Water Chemistry

Maintain proper water chemistry by regularly testing and adjusting pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels. Refer to a reputable spa chemical guide for specific ranges and treatment instructions. Imbalanced water can damage spa components and cause skin irritation.

6.2 Filter Cartridge Cleaning and Replacement

Clean filter cartridges weekly by rinsing them with a garden hose. Replace cartridges every 1-3 months, depending on usage and water quality. Dirty filters reduce water flow and can strain the pump.

6.3 Spa Cleaning

Drain and clean the spa liner periodically (e.g., every 1-3 months). Use a soft cloth and a non-abrasive, spa-safe cleaner. Rinse thoroughly before refilling.

6.4 Cover Care

Clean the locking inflatable cover regularly with mild soap and water. Ensure it is properly secured when the spa is not in use to maintain heat and prevent debris entry.
