Setup

Charging the Battery Pack:

  1. Connect the M12™ Lithium-ion Battery Charger to a standard electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Slide the M12™ REDLITHIUM™ XC 4.0 Battery Pack onto the charger. Ensure it is fully seated.
  3. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. A fully discharged battery typically charges in approximately 60 minutes.
  4. Once charging is complete, remove the battery pack from the charger.

Installing/Removing the Battery Pack:

Installing SDS-Plus Drill Bits:

  1. Ensure the tool is switched off and the battery pack is removed.
  2. Pull back the chuck collar on the front of the tool.
  3. Insert the SDS-Plus drill bit into the chuck, rotating it slightly until it slides fully into place.
  4. Release the chuck collar. Pull on the drill bit to ensure it is securely locked. A slight amount of play is normal for SDS-Plus bits.

Removing SDS-Plus Drill Bits:

  1. Ensure the tool is switched off and the battery pack is removed.
  2. Pull back the chuck collar.
  3. Pull the drill bit straight out of the chuck.
  4. Release the chuck collar.
