The VELAMP IL15XS is a versatile LED service light equipped with an infrared presence sensor. Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the device.
2. Open the compartment cover.
3. Insert 3 AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Mounting Options

The VELAMP IL15XS can be installed in various locations such as ceilings, walls, tables, or shelves. Two primary mounting methods are available:

• Screws: For a permanent fixture, use appropriate screws (not supplied) to mount the light. Ensure the mounting surface is suitable.
• Velcro: For flexible or temporary placement, use the supplied Velcro strips. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly before applying the Velcro for optimal adhesion.

Operating Instructions

The VELAMP IL15XS features three operating modes, selectable via a switch on the device:

• AUTO Mode: In this mode, the light will automatically turn on when motion is detected within its sensor range and ambient light conditions are low. It will turn off after a period of no motion. This is the recommended mode for energy efficiency and convenience.
• ON Mode: The light will remain continuously on, regardless of motion detection or ambient light levels. Use this mode when constant illumination is required.
• OFF Mode: The light will remain off. Use this mode to conserve battery power or when light is not needed.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the light output diminishes or the device exhibits erratic behavior (e.g., flickering, turning on/off continuously without motion), it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section.

Cleaning

To clean the device, gently wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water. Ensure the sensor lens is kept clean for optimal performance.

Troubleshooting

• Light does not turn on:
  • Check if the batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace if necessary.
  • Ensure the device is not in OFF mode.
  • In AUTO mode, verify that ambient light conditions are dark enough for the sensor to activate.
  • Ensure there is actual motion within the sensor's range.
• Light turns on/off continuously or erratically:
  • This often indicates low battery power. Replace all 3 AA batteries with fresh ones.
  • Ensure the sensor is not obstructed or exposed to constant, subtle movements (e.g., curtains swaying).
• Motion sensor is not responsive:
  • Clean the sensor lens to remove any dust or debris.
  • Ensure the sensor is not blocked by objects.
  • Verify the device is in AUTO mode.
