Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference. Adherence to these instructions is crucial for user safety and product longevity.

Important Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage, personal injury, or death.

  • Always use the jack on a hard, level surface.
  • Never exceed the rated capacity of 2-1/2 tons (5,000 lb).
  • Ensure the vehicle is properly supported by jack stands before working underneath it. The floor jack is a lifting device only, not a vehicle support device.
  • Position the jack correctly under the vehicle's designated lifting points. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual.
  • Keep hands and feet clear of moving parts.
  • Do not modify the jack.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure the included wheel chocks are used to prevent unintended vehicle movement.

Setup and Initial Preparation

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. If damage is present, do not use the jack and contact customer support.
  2. Handle Assembly:
    • Connect the two sections of the operating handle.
    • Insert the assembled handle into the handle socket on the jack. Ensure it is securely seated.
  3. Purging Air (Bleeding): Before first use, or if the jack has been stored for an extended period, it may be necessary to purge air from the hydraulic system.
    • Turn the handle counter-clockwise to open the release valve.
    • Pump the handle rapidly 10-15 times.
    • Turn the handle clockwise to close the release valve. The jack should now operate smoothly.

Operating Instructions

  1. Preparation:
    • Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface.
    • Engage the vehicle's parking brake.
    • Place the wheel chocks on the wheels that will remain on the ground, opposite to the side being lifted, to prevent movement.
  2. Positioning the Jack:
    • Locate the vehicle's designated lifting points. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for specific locations.
    • Position the jack saddle directly under the lifting point. Ensure the saddle makes full contact.
  3. Lifting the Vehicle:
    • Ensure the release valve is fully closed by turning the handle clockwise.
    • Pump the handle up and down to raise the jack. Lift the vehicle only high enough to perform the necessary work.
    • Once the desired height is reached, immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle's designated support points.
    • WARNING: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a floor jack. Always use jack stands.
  4. Lowering the Vehicle:
    • Slightly raise the vehicle with the jack to relieve pressure on the jack stands.
    • Carefully remove the jack stands.
    • Slowly turn the handle counter-clockwise to open the release valve and lower the vehicle. Control the lowering speed by adjusting how much the valve is opened.
    • Once the vehicle is fully lowered, remove the jack and wheel chocks.

Maintenance

  • Lubrication: Periodically lubricate moving parts with light machine oil.
  • Cleaning: Keep the jack clean and free of dirt, grease, and corrosive materials. The rust-resistant finish helps protect the tool.
  • Hydraulic Fluid: Check the hydraulic fluid level annually. To check, lower the jack completely, remove the oil filler plug, and ensure the fluid is level with the bottom of the filler hole. Use only high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Do not use brake fluid or motor oil.
  • Storage: Store the jack in a dry, clean area with the ram fully retracted.
  • Inspection: Before each use, inspect the jack for any signs of damage, leaks, or wear. Do not use a damaged jack.
