4.4 Data Management
Attendance records and user data can be transferred to the management software via TCP/IP or USB. The device stores up to 3200 fingerprint patterns and 100,000 transaction records.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Fingerprint Sensor
Regularly clean the optical fingerprint sensor with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. Avoid using abrasive materials or liquid cleaners directly on the sensor.
5.2 Data Backup
Periodically back up attendance data from the device to your PC using the management software or a USB flash drive. This prevents data loss in case of unforeseen issues.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Fingerprint Not Recognized
- Ensure the finger is clean and dry.
- Place the entire pad of the finger flat on the sensor.
- Try re-registering the fingerprint if the issue persists.
- Clean the sensor surface.
6.2 Device Not Powering On
- Check the power adapter connection to the device and the electrical outlet.
- Verify that the power outlet is functional.
- Ensure the correct 5V DC power adapter is being used.
6.3 Data Transfer Issues
- TCP/IP: Verify network cable connection, IP settings on the device, and network connectivity to the PC/server.
- USB: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected or the USB flash drive is properly inserted and recognized by the device.
- Confirm that the management software is correctly installed and configured on the PC.
