1. Product Overview

2. Setup and Initial Configuration

2.1. Battery Installation

The VTX OLED uses a user-replaceable battery. Refer to the back of the unit for the battery compartment. Ensure the O-ring is clean and properly seated before closing the compartment to maintain water integrity.

2.2. Transmitter Pairing

1. Attach the wireless transmitter to your first stage regulator's high-pressure port.
2. Turn on the VTX OLED computer.
3. Navigate to the "Transmitter" or "Pairing" menu option using the push buttons.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair the computer with the transmitter. The computer will display the transmitter's serial number and current tank pressure once successfully paired.

2.3. Initial Settings

Access the main menu to configure essential settings:

• Units: Select Imperial (feet/psi) or Metric (meters/bar).
• Gas Mixes: Configure up to four Nitrox mixes (e.g., EANx21, EANx32).
• Algorithm: Choose between the available dual algorithms based on your diving preferences and training.
• Alarms: Set depth, time, and ascent rate alarms.
• Date & Time: Adjust to your local time zone.

2.4. Bluetooth Connection (DiverLog App)

The VTX OLED is Bluetooth 4.0 LE ready for use with the DiverLog app (available for iOS, PC, and Mac). This allows for wireless transfer of dive profiles and computer settings.

1. Download and install the DiverLog app on your compatible device.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your device and the VTX OLED.
3. Open the DiverLog app and follow the instructions to connect to your VTX OLED.
4. Once connected, you can adjust settings, view logs, and update firmware.

3. Operating the VTX OLED

The VTX OLED features an intuitive push-button menu system and a clear OLED display for easy operation during dives.

3.1. Basic Navigation

The computer typically has multiple buttons (e.g., MODE, ADV, SELECT) for navigation. Refer to the on-screen prompts for specific button functions in different modes.

• MODE Button: Typically cycles through main operating modes (e.g., Surface, Dive, Log).
• ADV (Advance) Button: Used to scroll through options or advance settings within a menu.

3.2. Pre-Dive Check

Before each dive, perform the following checks:

1. Verify battery level.
2. Confirm transmitter is paired and displaying correct tank pressure.
3. Check selected gas mix(es) and algorithm.
4. Ensure all alarms are set appropriately.
5. Perform a function check of the display and buttons.

3.3. During the Dive

The OLED display provides real-time dive data with color-coded indicators:

• Depth: Current depth.
• No Decompression Limit (NDL): Remaining bottom time.
• Air Time Remaining (ATR): Calculated based on current depth, breathing rate, and tank pressure.
• Tank Pressure: Real-time pressure from the paired transmitter.
• Ascent Rate Indicator: Visual cues for safe ascent.
• Digital Compass: Access the 3-axis digital compass for navigation.

The computer will automatically switch to dive mode upon reaching a certain depth and log the dive profile.

3.4. Post-Dive Review

After a dive, the VTX OLED will display a summary. You can access the logbook mode to review detailed dive profiles, including maximum depth, dive time, average depth, and gas consumption. Use the DiverLog app for more comprehensive analysis and sharing.

4. Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and reliability of your VTX OLED computer.

4.1. Rinsing and Cleaning

• After each dive, rinse the computer thoroughly with fresh water.
• Ensure all salt and debris are removed from buttons and crevices.
• Dry the unit completely with a soft towel before storage.
• Do not use chemical cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the display or casing.

4.2. Battery Replacement

Replace the battery as soon as the low battery indicator appears. Always use the recommended battery type and ensure the O-ring is clean, lubricated, and correctly seated to prevent water intrusion. If unsure, consult an authorized service center.

4.3. Storage

• Store the VTX OLED in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Avoid extreme temperatures.
• If storing for an extended period, consider removing the battery to prevent leakage.
