Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and hygiene of your breast pump.
Cleaning:
- After Each Use: Disassemble all parts that come into contact with breastmilk (flanges, bottles, valves, diaphragms). Wash them immediately in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Sanitizing: Sterilize parts regularly by boiling them in water for 5 minutes or using a steam sterilizer. Note: The pump unit itself is not washable or dishwasher safe.
- Drying: Air dry all parts on a clean paper towel or drying rack. Do not use cloth towels as they may leave lint.
- Pump Unit: Wipe the pump unit with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
Note: The Lansinoh Smartpump2.0 is not dishwasher safe. Hand washing is recommended for all components that come into contact with breastmilk.

Replacement Parts:
Regularly inspect all pump parts for wear and tear. Replace duckbill valves and diaphragms every 2-3 months, or sooner if you notice a decrease in suction or milk output. Replacement parts can be purchased from authorized Lansinoh retailers.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Lansinoh Smartpump2.0, try the following solutions:
- No Suction or Weak Suction:
- Ensure all parts are correctly assembled and securely connected.
- Check that the duckbill valves are clean, undamaged, and properly seated. Replace if necessary.
- Verify that the diaphragms are intact and not torn. Replace if necessary.
- Ensure tubing is free from kinks or damage.
- Check power source: if using batteries, ensure they are fresh; if using AC adapter, ensure it's securely plugged in.
- Pump Not Turning On:
- Confirm the AC adapter is properly connected to both the pump and a working power outlet.
- If using batteries, ensure they are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge.
- Uncomfortable Pumping:
- Adjust the suction level using the '+' and '-' buttons.
- Experiment with different pumping styles.
- Ensure you are using the correct flange size (25mm or 30.5mm included). Consult a lactation consultant if discomfort persists.
