5. Setup and Installation

Installation must be performed by a qualified professional. Ensure all local and national electrical codes are followed.

Wiring Diagram:

Refer to the label on the driver for precise wiring connections. The general connections are as follows:

  • Input (AC Power):
    • Black Wire: Line
    • White Wire: Neutral
  • Output (DC to LED Fixture):
    • Red Wire: Positive (+)
    • Blue Wire: Negative (-)
  • 0-10V Dimming Control:
    • Violet Wire: Positive (+)
    • Gray Wire: Negative (-)
  • Grounding: The driver case MUST BE GROUNDED.

Installation Steps:

  1. Disconnect all power to the circuit before beginning installation.
  2. Mount the LED driver securely in a suitable enclosure or fixture, ensuring adequate ventilation and adherence to maximum operating temperature (Max 80°C).
  3. Connect the AC input wires (Black for Line, White for Neutral) to the main power supply.
  4. Connect the DC output wires (Red for Positive, Blue for Negative) to your LED fixture. Ensure correct polarity.
  5. If using 0-10V dimming, connect the Violet wire to the positive dimming control and the Gray wire to the negative dimming control.
  6. Ensure the driver case is properly grounded.
  7. Verify all connections are secure and insulated.
  8. Restore power to the circuit.

6. Operating Instructions

Once properly installed and powered, the LED driver will supply constant current to the connected LED fixture. The 0-10V dimming function allows for external control of light output.

  • Power On/Off: The LED fixture will illuminate when power is supplied to the driver.
  • Dimming: Connect a compatible 0-10V dimmer to the violet and gray dimming wires. Adjusting the dimmer will vary the light output from the LED fixture. A 10V signal typically corresponds to 100% light output, while 0V corresponds to the minimum dimming level or off, depending on the dimmer and fixture.

7. Maintenance

The Philips Advance Xitanium LED Driver is designed for long-term, reliable operation and requires minimal maintenance.

  • Cleaning: Periodically, gently wipe the exterior of the driver with a dry, clean cloth to remove dust and debris. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Annually, inspect the wiring connections for any signs of wear, corrosion, or loose terminals. Ensure the mounting is still secure.
  • No User-Serviceable Parts: Do not attempt to open or repair the driver. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Any unauthorized tampering will void the warranty.

8. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your LED driver, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
