2. Device Programming (Code Entry Method)

To control your devices, you need to program the remote with the correct code for each device. Refer to the code list provided in the original user manual (if available) or search online for Valueline VLR-RC001 codes for your specific device brand. This remote supports up to 10 devices.

  1. Turn on the device you wish to program (e.g., your TV).
  2. Press and hold the SET button. While holding SET, press the desired device button (e.g., TV1, VCR, SAT, CBL, AUX) for the device you are programming. Release both buttons. The LED indicator should light up.
  3. Enter the 3-digit code for your device brand using the number buttons.
  4. After entering the code, the LED indicator should turn off.
  5. Test the remote by pressing the POWER button. If the device turns off, the code is correct. Try other functions like volume and channel.
  6. If the device does not respond or only some functions work, repeat the process with the next code listed for your brand, or try the auto-search method below.

3. Device Programming (Auto-Search Method)

If you cannot find a code or the code entry method does not work, use the auto-search function:

  1. Turn on the device you wish to program.
  2. Press and hold the SET button. While holding SET, press the desired device button (e.g., TV1). Release both buttons. The LED indicator should light up.
  3. Point the remote at the device and press the POWER button repeatedly (approximately once per second) until the device turns off.
  4. Once the device turns off, immediately press the SET button to save the code. The LED indicator should turn off.
  5. Test the remote's functions. If not all functions work, you may need to repeat the auto-search, as the remote might have stopped on a partially compatible code.
