Setup
- Power Supply: The M800 can be powered by 3 AA batteries or an optional AC adapter (not included).
- To install batteries: Open the battery compartment cover on the underside of the board. Insert 3 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.
- To use AC adapter: Plug the adapter into the designated port on the side of the board and into a wall outlet.
- Piece Placement: Place the chess pieces in their standard starting positions on the board. The board features pressure-sensitive squares; ensure pieces are pressed down firmly to register their position.
- Power On: Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the device. The LCD display will illuminate.

Operating Instructions
Basic Chess Play
- Making a Move: To make a move, press down on the piece you wish to move, then press down on the destination square. The LCD display will show the move in chess notation (e.g., e2-e4).
- Computer Response: The computer will calculate its move and display it on the LCD screen. You will then need to physically move the computer's piece to the indicated square.
- Interactive Display: The LCD screen provides visual feedback on moves, legal moves, and game status.
