Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning is crucial to maintain the efficiency and hygiene of your humidifier. Neglecting cleaning can lead to mineral buildup and the growth of bacteria or mold.

Daily Maintenance:

  • Empty and rinse the water tank and base reservoir with fresh water.
  • Wipe down the surfaces with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Refill with fresh water before each use.

Weekly Cleaning:

  1. Unplug and Disassemble: Ensure the humidifier is unplugged. Remove the water tank and any other removable parts.
  2. Clean Water Tank: Fill the water tank with a mixture of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar per gallon of water. Let it stand for 20-30 minutes. Shake the tank occasionally. Rinse thoroughly with clean water until the vinegar smell is gone.
  3. Clean Base Reservoir: Pour the vinegar solution into the base reservoir. Use a soft brush or cloth to clean the ultrasonic transducer (the small disc) and the inside of the reservoir. Do not scrub the transducer aggressively. Let it soak for 20-30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  4. Clean Water Filter: The humidifier includes a water filter. Remove the filter from the tank cap. Rinse it under running water. If heavily soiled or if white dust persists, consider replacing it.
