2.1. What's in the Box

2.2. Charging the Battery
Insert the Battery Pack NB-10L into the Battery Charger CB-2LC. Connect the charger to a power outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate during charging and turn off when charging is complete. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.
2.3. Inserting the Battery and Memory Card
- Open the battery/card compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the fully charged Battery Pack NB-10L, ensuring the correct orientation.
- Insert a compatible SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card into the card slot until it clicks into place.
- Close the compartment cover securely.
Note: The camera supports SD/SDHC/SDXC flash memory types with a speed class of 10.
3. Operating the Camera
3.1. Powering On/Off
Press the power button located on the top of the camera to turn it on or off.
3.2. Basic Shooting Modes
Rotate the mode dial to select your desired shooting mode. Available modes include:
- Automatic: Camera automatically adjusts settings for optimal results.
- Program (P): Camera sets aperture and shutter speed, but you can adjust other settings.
- Shutter Priority (Tv): You set the shutter speed, camera sets aperture.
- Aperture Priority (Av): You set the aperture, camera sets shutter speed.
- Manual (M): Full control over aperture and shutter speed.
- Movie: Dedicated mode for video recording.

3.3. Zoom Functionality

4. Maintenance
4.1. Cleaning the Camera
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the camera body.

- Avoid using organic solvents or strong chemical cleaners.
4.2. Battery Care

- Poor low-light performance: The Canon HS System is designed to improve low-light shots, but extreme low-light conditions may still result in noise. Increase ISO sensitivity if acceptable, or use flash.
- Autofocus issues: Ensure the subject is within the camera's focus range. In challenging conditions, try manual focus.
