3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Remove all packaging materials from the humidifier.
- Place the humidifier on a firm, level, and water-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of space around the unit for proper airflow.
- Avoid placing the humidifier directly against a wall or near heat sources.
3.2 Filling the Water Tank
- Remove the top section of the humidifier to access the water tank.
- Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the maximum fill line. Do not overfill.

- Place the top section back onto the humidifier securely.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
4. Operation
4.1 Powering On/Off
- To turn on the humidifier, rotate the control dial (Figure 2) from 'OFF' to either 'LOW' or 'HIGH' setting.
- To turn off the humidifier, rotate the control dial to 'OFF'.
4.2 Operating Modes
- LOW: Provides quiet operation and continuous humidification at a lower output, suitable for nighttime use or smaller rooms.
- HIGH: Provides maximum humidification output for faster results or larger rooms.
4.3 Automatic Shut-Off
The humidifier is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature. It will automatically turn off when the water tank is empty, preventing damage to the unit. Refill the water tank to resume operation.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and hygiene of your humidifier.
5.1 Cleaning the Water Tank
The removable water tank is designed for easy cleaning. It is recommended to clean the water tank weekly to prevent mineral buildup and bacterial growth.
- Unplug the humidifier from the power outlet.
- Remove the top section and the humidification wick.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank.
- Rinse the water tank thoroughly with clean water. For stubborn deposits, use a soft brush or cloth.
- Dry all parts before reassembling.
5.2 Humidification Wick Replacement
The humidification wick (filter) should be replaced approximately every 3 months, depending on water quality and usage. A worn-out wick may reduce humidification efficiency.
- Unplug the humidifier.
- Remove the top section and the old humidification wick.
- Insert a new Philips replacement humidification wick into the unit.
- Reassemble the humidifier.
5.3 No Descaling Required
Due to its natural evaporation technology, this humidifier does not use a heating plate, eliminating the need for descaling procedures commonly associated with other humidifier types.
