Key Features:
- Converts digital Toslink or Coaxial audio signals to analog RCA (Cinch) audio.
- Supports audio sampling rates up to 192KHz/24bit.
- Ideal for connecting digital audio sources (e.g., TV, Blu-ray player) to analog amplifiers or speakers.
Setup and Connection
Follow these steps to connect your SpeaKa Professional audio converter:
- Connect Digital Audio Source:
- If using a Toslink (Optical) cable, connect one end to the digital optical output of your source device (e.g., TV, game console) and the other end to the OPTICAL IN port on the converter.
- If using a Coaxial cable, connect one end to the digital coaxial output of your source device and the other end to the COAXIAL IN port on the converter.
- Connect Analog Audio Output:
Connect RCA (Cinch) cables to the ANALOG OUT (red and white) ports on the converter. Connect the other end of these RCA cables to the corresponding analog audio input ports on your amplifier, receiver, or active speakers.
- Connect Power:
Connect the provided 5V DC power adapter to the 5V/DC 1A input port on the converter. Plug the power adapter into a suitable wall outlet. The POWER indicator light on the converter will illuminate.

Image 4: Power Adapter. This image shows the compact 5V DC power adapter included with the converter.
- Configure Source Device:
Ensure your digital audio source device (e.g., TV) is configured to output audio via its optical or coaxial digital output. You may need to adjust audio settings in your device's menu to select the correct output format (e.g., PCM/LPCM stereo, not Dolby Digital or DTS, as this converter typically supports only PCM).
Operating Instructions
Once all connections are made and the converter is powered on, it will automatically convert the incoming digital audio signal to analog.
- Power Indicator: The blue POWER LED indicates that the device is receiving power.
- Audio Output: Ensure your analog audio system (amplifier, speakers) is turned on and set to the correct input channel where the converter is connected.
- Volume Control: Volume control is managed by your analog audio system, not the converter.
Maintenance
The SpeaKa Professional SP-DAC-TK/CK converter requires minimal maintenance.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.
