1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of your LC-Power LC8850-3 Metatron Arkangel 850W PC Power Supply Unit (PSU). This high-performance power supply is designed to deliver stable and reliable power to your computer components, featuring 850 watts of output, 80 Plus Gold 230V EU certification for energy efficiency, and modular cable management for a clean build.
Please read this manual thoroughly before proceeding with installation or use. Keep it for future reference.
2. Safety Information
WARNING: Electrical Hazard. Do not open the PSU casing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. High voltages are present even when the unit is switched off and unplugged.
- Always disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before installing, removing, or cleaning the power supply.
- Ensure the power supply is properly grounded.
- Install the PSU in a well-ventilated area. Do not block any ventilation openings.
- This product is intended for use in computer systems only. Do not use it for any other purpose.
- If you are unsure about any installation steps, consult a qualified technician.
- Keep the unit away from water, moisture, and extreme temperatures.

4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your power supply unit into your computer system:
- Prepare Your System:
Ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet. Open your computer case to access the PSU mounting area. - Remove Old PSU (if applicable):
If replacing an existing PSU, disconnect all cables from the old unit and remove its mounting screws. Carefully slide the old PSU out of the case. - Install New PSU:
Gently slide the LC-Power LC8850-3 PSU into the designated bay in your computer case. Ensure the fan is oriented correctly (typically facing downwards or upwards depending on your case design for optimal airflow). Secure the PSU with the provided mounting screws from the rear of the case.

- Connect Modular Cables:
Identify the necessary cables for your components (24-pin ATX for motherboard, 8-pin EPS for CPU, 6+2-pin PCIe for graphics cards, SATA for storage drives, Molex for peripherals). Connect these cables to the corresponding modular ports on the PSU. The modular design allows you to connect only the cables you need, reducing clutter.

- Connect to Components:
Route the connected modular cables neatly through your case and connect them to your motherboard, CPU, graphics card(s), SSDs/HDDs, and any other peripherals requiring power. Ensure all connections are firm and secure. - Close Case and Power On:
Once all connections are made and verified, close your computer case. Connect the AC power cord to the PSU's power inlet and then to a wall outlet. Flip the power switch on the back of the PSU to the 'ON' position. You can now power on your computer.
5. Operating Instructions
The LC-Power LC8850-3 PSU operates automatically once installed and powered on. It provides stable DC voltage to your system components. Key operational aspects include:
- Power On/Off: Use the main power switch on the back of the PSU to cut off or restore power to the unit. For normal operation, leave it in the 'ON' position.
- Efficiency: The 80 Plus Gold certification indicates high energy efficiency, meaning less wasted heat and lower electricity consumption compared to less efficient power supplies.
- Cooling: The integrated 14cm fan provides active cooling for the PSU. Ensure the fan intake and exhaust are not obstructed to maintain optimal operating temperatures.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your PSU:
- Dust Removal: Periodically clean the fan grill and surrounding areas to prevent dust buildup, which can impede airflow and cause overheating. Use compressed air or a soft brush. Always power off and unplug the PSU before cleaning.
- Cable Check: Occasionally check all modular cable connections to ensure they remain secure. Loose connections can lead to system instability or component damage.
- Ventilation: Ensure your PC case has adequate airflow and that the PSU's ventilation openings are not blocked by cables or other components.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your power supply, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Power to System:
- Check if the AC power cord is securely connected to both the PSU and the wall outlet.
- Ensure the power switch on the back of the PSU is in the 'ON' position.
- Verify that the wall outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
- Check all internal power connections (24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS, PCIe) to ensure they are firmly seated.
- System Instability/Random Shutdowns:
- This could indicate an overloaded PSU or a faulty component. Ensure your system's power requirements do not exceed the PSU's 850W capacity.
- Check for proper ventilation and ensure the PSU fan is spinning. Overheating can cause shutdowns.
- If possible, test the PSU with a different set of components or in another system to isolate the issue.
- Unusual Noises:
- A rattling or grinding noise may indicate a faulty fan. If the noise persists and is not due to dust, contact support.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, contact LC-Power customer support or your retailer for further assistance.
