Operating Instructions
Learning Capability
The remote features a learning capability that allows it to learn infrared (IR) codes from your existing remote controls. This is particularly useful for programming devices not found in the remote's internal database or for specific functions. To utilize this feature, align the IR emitters of both remotes and follow the instructions provided on the official Inteset website for detailed steps. This allows you to program any device that is not already in the database.
Macro Programming
The INT-422 supports macro programming, enabling you to program a sequence of up to 15 commands into a single button press. This feature is ideal for automating complex operations, such as turning on multiple devices and selecting specific inputs with one command. Macros can be configured to be mode-dependent or mode-independent, offering flexible control over your entertainment system.
Key Punch Through
The Key Punch Through feature allows you to configure the same key function in one mode to operate in any or all other modes. This means you can set a common function, like volume control, to work across all your programmed devices without switching modes.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your remote, keep it clean and free from dust and moisture. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid exposing the remote to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight. Replace batteries promptly when the remote's performance diminishes.
Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding: Check if the batteries are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Buttons not working for a specific device: Ensure the remote is in the correct device mode (A, B, C, or D). If using a learned code, try re-learning the function. Verify the device code if using a pre-programmed setting.
- Backlight not working: Check battery level. If batteries are low, the backlight may not illuminate.
- Difficulty programming: Ensure the remote and the original remote are properly aligned (IR emitters facing each other) during the learning process. Maintain a short distance (1-2 inches) between the remotes. Refer to the detailed programming guide on intesettech.com for comprehensive instructions and a complete worldwide database of device codes.
