Setup

Battery Installation

The HCDZ Replacement Remote Control requires two (2) AA batteries for operation. Batteries are not included with the remote control. Follow these steps to install the batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or in the direction indicated by an arrow to open it.
  3. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

Once batteries are installed, the remote control is ready for use without any additional programming.

Operating Instructions

This replacement remote control is designed to function immediately with compatible Sony HT-CT770 and HT-CT260HP 2.1 Channel Surround Sound Bar systems once batteries are installed. No programming or pairing is required.

Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press the Power button to turn your sound bar system on or off.
  • Volume Control: Use the VOL + and VOL - buttons to adjust the master volume.
  • Input Selection: Press the INPUT button to cycle through available audio inputs (e.g., TV, HDMI, Bluetooth).
  • Muting: Press the MUTING button to temporarily silence the audio. Press again to unmute.
  • Sound Field Modes: Utilize buttons such as STD (Standard), MOVIE, GAME, MUSIC, and STEREO to select different audio processing modes.
  • Navigation: Use the directional arrow buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) and the central Enter button for menu navigation on your connected device, if supported.
  • Playback Controls: For connected media devices (e.g., via Bluetooth), use Play/Pause, Stop, Fast Forward, and Rewind buttons.
