Operating Instructions

Adjusting Depth-of-Drive

The tool-less depth-of-drive adjustment allows you to control how deep the nail is driven into the material. Rotate the adjustment knob located near the nose of the tool to increase or decrease the depth. Test on a scrap piece of material to achieve the desired setting.

Operating Modes

The Craftsman C3 Brad Nailer features two operating modes:

  • Single Sequential Mode: For precise nail placement. Depress the contact trip against the workpiece, then pull the trigger to drive a single nail. Release the trigger and lift the tool from the workpiece to prepare for the next nail.
  • Contact (Bump Fire) Mode: For faster nailing. Hold the trigger down, then depress the contact trip against the workpiece to drive a nail. Lift the tool and depress the contact trip again to drive subsequent nails.

To switch between modes, refer to the mode selector switch on the tool (if present, otherwise assume automatic based on trigger/contact sequence).

Work Surface Illumination

The integrated 2 LED lights automatically illuminate the work surface when the trigger is partially depressed or when the contact trip is engaged, providing better visibility in low-light conditions.
