Setup

Setting Time and Date

1. Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) to position 2 for setting the date, or position 3 for setting the time.
2. Adjust the time: Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time. For analog-digital models, ensure both displays are synchronized if applicable.
3. Adjust the date: If in position 2, rotate the crown to set the correct date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM to prevent damage to the movement.
4. Push in the crown: Once set, push the crown back into position 1 to start the watch and engage the water resistance seal.

Operating the Chronograph

The Diesel Mega Chief features a chronograph function with three sub-dials for precise time measurement.

• Start/Stop: Press the top pusher (A) to start and stop the chronograph.
• Reset: Press the bottom pusher (B) to reset the chronograph to zero. This can only be done when the chronograph is stopped.
• Sub-dials: The three sub-dials typically track minutes, seconds, and 24-hour time, or tenths of seconds, depending on the specific model. Refer to the dial markings for exact functions.

Maintenance and Care

Water Resistance

Your Diesel Mega Chief watch is water resistant up to 100 meters (330 feet) or 10 ATM. This means it can be worn for bathing, swimming, snorkeling, and shallow diving. It is not suitable for high-impact water sports or deep-sea diving.

• Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water.
• Do not operate the pushers or crown while the watch is submerged in water.
• After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth.

General Care

• Clean the watch regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Protect the watch from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, and strong magnetic fields.
• The iridescent mineral crystal face is designed to resist scratches, but avoid unnecessary impacts.
• The black genuine leather band should be kept dry and clean to prolong its life. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.
