4. Setup

Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Door: Ensure your door has a standard 14mm peephole opening. The viewer is compatible with door thicknesses between 38mm and 110mm.
  2. Remove Existing Peephole: If an existing mechanical peephole is present, carefully remove it.
  3. Insert External Camera Unit: From the outside of the door, insert the external camera unit into the peephole opening.
  4. Mount Internal Display Unit: From the inside of the door, connect the internal display unit to the external camera unit. Secure it according to the provided accessory for battery fixation.
  5. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the internal display unit and insert the 2 AAA batteries provided, ensuring correct polarity.
  6. Test Functionality: Press the power button to turn on the display and verify the live view.

5. Operating Instructions

Live View Operation

  • Power On: Press the power button located on the internal display unit to activate the screen.
  • Live View: The screen will immediately display a live video feed from the external camera, showing who is at your door.
  • Viewing Angle: The 105-degree wide-angle lens provides a broad view of the area outside your door.
  • Power Off: The display will automatically turn off after a short period of inactivity to conserve battery life, or you can press the power button again to turn it off manually.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and camera lens. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: When the display becomes dim or the unit does not power on, replace the 2 AAA batteries. Ensure to use alkaline batteries for optimal performance, as rechargeable batteries may not be compatible.
