This manual provides important information regarding the safe operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new fan. Important Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before using this fan.
  • This fan is for household use only. Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
  • Always unplug the fan from the power outlet before cleaning, servicing, or moving.
  • Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the fan.
  • Do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner.
  • Do not use in wet or moist locations such as bathrooms.
  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Fan: Carefully remove the fan and all packaging materials from the box. Ensure all components, including the remote control, are present.
  2. Prepare the Window: Open the window where you intend to install the fan. The fan is designed for vertical or horizontal sliding windows.
  3. Position the Fan: Place the fan into the window opening. The adjustable side panels allow the fan to fit window widths from 23-1/2 inches to 35 inches. Extend the side panels until they firmly contact the window frame, securing the fan in place.
  4. Secure the Fan: Close the window sash down onto the top of the fan to further secure it. Ensure the fan is stable and not prone to falling.
  5. Connect Power: Plug the two-prong power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The fan can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

Control Panel Functions:

  • Power Button: Press to turn the fan ON or OFF.
  • Speed Button: Press to cycle through the 3 available fan speeds (Low, Medium, High). The current speed setting will be indicated on the display.
  • Thermostat Control: Use the temperature adjustment buttons to set your desired room temperature. The fan will automatically turn on or off to maintain this temperature.
  • Reversible Airflow (Intake/Exhaust): This fan features automatic conversion from intake to exhaust. Press the airflow direction button to switch between drawing fresh air in (intake) or expelling stale air out (exhaust).

Remote Control:

The remote control duplicates the functions of the control panel for convenient operation from a distance. Ensure the remote has working batteries (not included) and point it towards the fan's receiver when operating.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and longevity of your fan.

  • Cleaning: Always unplug the fan before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. For dust accumulation on the fan blades, use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment or a soft brush to gently remove dust. Do not immerse the fan in water.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the fan in its original packaging or a suitable container in a cool, dry place.
  • No User-Serviceable Parts: This fan contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open or repair the fan yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
