Setup and Assembly
The WORX WG154 requires minimal assembly. Follow these steps to prepare your trimmer for use:
- Attach the Safety Guard: Secure the safety guard to the trimmer head using the provided screw. Ensure it is firmly attached to prevent debris from striking the user.
- Install the Battery: Insert the fully charged 20V MaxLithium battery into the battery port on the handle until it clicks into place.
- Adjust the Handle: Loosen the adjustment knob on the auxiliary handle and slide it to a comfortable position for optimal balance and control. Tighten the knob securely.
- Adjust the Shaft Length: If applicable, adjust the telescopic shaft to your preferred working height by loosening the collar, extending or retracting the shaft, and then tightening the collar.

Operating Instructions
Starting and Stopping:
- To start the trimmer, press the safety lock-off button and then squeeze the trigger switch.
- To stop, release the trigger switch.
Converting from Trimmer to Edger:
The WG154 features a rotating head for easy conversion:
- Ensure the tool is off and the battery is removed.
- Grasp the trimmer head and pull it away from the shaft.
- Rotate the head 180 degrees until it locks into the edging position.
- Re-insert the battery and you are ready to edge.

Automatic Line Feed:
The trimmer is equipped with an automatic line feed system. When you start the trimmer, a small amount of line is automatically fed out. If the line becomes too short, simply release the trigger and press it again to advance more line. Avoid manually pulling the line during operation.

Using the Flower Guard:
The adjustable spacer guard helps prevent accidental trimming of delicate plants, flowers, and other garden decorations. Position the guard between the cutting line and the objects you wish to protect.

Maintenance
Cleaning:
- After each use, disconnect the battery and clean the trimmer head and guard with a damp cloth.
- Remove any grass clippings or debris from the air vents to ensure proper motor cooling.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Spool Replacement:
When the trimmer line runs out, you will need to replace the spool. The part number for the replacement spool is WA0010. WORX offers "free spools for life," though shipping costs apply. Alternatively, replacement spools can be purchased from various retailers, including Amazon.
- Ensure the trimmer is off and the battery is removed.
- Press the tabs on the side of the spool cap and remove it.
- Remove the empty spool.
- Insert a new pre-wound spool, ensuring the line is threaded through the eyelet on the spool cap.
- Align the spool cap and snap it back into place.
- Pull a small amount of line manually to ensure it is not stuck.
Battery Care:
- Always use the WORX 20V battery charger provided.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not store batteries in a discharged state for extended periods.
- If the battery is not used for a long time, charge it periodically to maintain its life.
Troubleshooting
