1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your LaView 16-Channel 1080P IP PoE NVR Security System. This system is designed to provide comprehensive surveillance with high-definition video recording and remote viewing capabilities.

2. System Components and Setup

Before beginning installation, ensure all components are present and undamaged. The system includes the Network Video Recorder (NVR), 12 1080P bullet cameras, necessary cables, and accessories.

2.1 NVR Connections

Connect the NVR to a power source, a monitor (via HDMI or VGA), and your network router using an Ethernet cable. A USB mouse is typically used for navigation.

2.2 Camera Installation

1. Mount each bullet camera in your desired surveillance location.
2. Connect each IP camera to an available PoE port on the NVR using a Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable.
3. The NVR will automatically detect and configure the cameras. Allow approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute for each camera to initialize after connection.

2.3 Mobile App Setup

To enable remote viewing, download the official LaView mobile application (e.g., LaView Net app) from your device's app store.

1. Create a user account within the app.
2. Navigate to the P2P (Peer-to-Peer) section.
3. Scan the QR code displayed on your NVR's P2P menu. If the QR code is invalid, ensure you are scanning the correct P2P QR code.
4. If you encounter a message stating "device is used by another user," this indicates the device is already linked to an account. To link it to a new account or another device, the previous link must be removed. In the P2P section of the app, swipe left on the device entry to reveal the delete option.
5. For multiple users, use the same primary account credentials to log in on additional devices.

3. Operating the System

Once the system is set up, you can monitor your premises through the NVR's connected monitor or via the mobile application.

3.1 Live View

• Access the live view from the NVR's main interface or the mobile app.
• The cameras provide 1080p resolution for clear daytime footage.

• Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) helps balance bright and dark areas in challenging lighting conditions.

• Search options typically include date, time, and event type.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 No Camera Signal / Cameras Offline

• Check Cable Connections: Ensure all Ethernet cables are securely connected to both the camera and the NVR's PoE ports.
• Power Cycle: Disconnect and reconnect the camera's Ethernet cable from the NVR. If the issue persists, power cycle the NVR.
• NVR Port Status: Verify the NVR's interface shows the PoE port as active.
• Cable Integrity: Test with a known working Ethernet cable if possible.

5.2 NVR Reboots Unexpectedly

• Power Supply: Ensure the NVR is connected to a stable power source and the power adapter is functioning correctly.
• Ventilation: Check that the NVR has adequate ventilation and is not overheating. Clear any obstructions from the vents.
